Transit service in the city of Belleville is provided by Belleville Transit, an agency with 14 buses providing service for a population of 49,000.  Belleville Transit operates eight routes with half-hour service, and all routes meet at the central bus terminal on Pinnacle Street across from city hall.  The bus fleet consists of Orion VI and NovaBus LFS buses along with a single GM Classic.

9147 was a 1991 MCI TC-40102N, seen here at the transit terminal on May 24, 2002.  This bus seems to have push-operated exit doors, rather than automatic doors as the other Classics in eastern Ontario are equipped.

9849 is a 1998 Orion 06.501, seen at the central transit terminal on Nov. 16, 2002.  These buses were the first to be delivered in the new paint scheme, which was almost identical to that of Mississauga Transit, but the orange stripe was later changed to a deep orange-red hue.
