Transit service in the city of Belleville is provided by Belleville Transit, an agency with 14 buses providing service for a population of 49,000.  Belleville Transit operates eight routes with half-hour service, and all routes meet at the central bus terminal on Pinnacle Street across from city hall.  The bus fleet consists entirely NovaBus LFS buses, although in the past there were GM New Looks, GM and MCI Classics, and Orion I and VI buses in service.
