The Commission de transport de Drummondville was established in 1987 to provide bus service to a population of about 67,000, while Autobus Bourgeoise, a private company, operates the buses themselves.  The fleet consists of six Orion buses and there are five bus routes covering the city.  The CTD was one of the last transit systems in North America to use the GMC TDH-3302N, the rare “Baby New Look”, which was sold in 2006.

8701 is a 1987 Orion 01.502.  This photo was taken at les Promanades Drummondville on June 4, 2003.

8701 was spotted again at the central terminal on rue des Forges near rue Lindsay on June 20, 2008.  This bus was one of three purchased in 1987.

8702 is another 1987 Orion I, shown at the des Forges-Lindsay terminal in downtown Drummondville on June 20, 2008.  This bus is painted in the new blue paint scheme also seen on 8705.

8704 is a 1989 Orion 01.502, which was seen waiting for passengers at the des Forges-Lindsay terminal on June 20, 2008.

8705 is a 1994 Orion 05.504, seen at les Promanades Drummondville on June 4, 2003.  Drummondville is one of the few transit systems in Quebec that uses Orion buses because of the province’s buy-locally policy, which gives large rebates to transit agencies purchasing buses built by Quebec-based companies.

8705 was spotted again painted in the blue livery at the des Forges-Lindsay terminal on June 20, 2008.  The CTD has recently acquired another 30’ Orion V from Orlando LYNX, courtesy of Capital Bus Parts.
