The City of Lévis is located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, opposite Quebec City, and is home to 130,000 people.  Transit service is provided by the Société de transport de Lévis, formerly known as Réseau Trans-Sud, and before that by the formidable name of the Commission intermunicipal de transport de la Rive-Sud de Québec (CITRSQ).  The fleet consists of about 40 buses, mostly Classics and LFS buses, though three NovaBus RTS buses were added to the fleet in 2001 and used until 2011.  Connections with the RTC can be made at Université Laval in Quebec City, and via ferry to the lower city (Basse-Ville) district.
