OC
Transpo provides service throughout the City of Ottawa and into downtown
Gatineau, seven days a week from 6 AM until 1 AM, with many routes starting at
4 AM and two running 24 hours a day. The
fourth largest transit system in Canada, it operates a fleet of about 1000
buses to serve a population of 900,000.
In addition to the current fleet of New Flyer Invero, D60LF and D60LFR;
Orion VI and VII NG hybrid; and Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 buses, along with
Bombardier Talent trains, OC Transpo in the 1980s, 1990s
and 2000s operated Flyer D700, D800, and D800B; Orion I Citycruiser; Orion II;
Orion III/Ikarus 286; Orion V; MCI Classic; NovaBus Classic and LFS; New Flyer D40; and GM Classic, New
Look and New-Look articulated buses. OC
Transpo also has an historic fleet, with several buses in period livery,
including a 1950 Fageol-Twin Coach 38-S, a 1958 GM TDH-5105, and a 1961 GM
TDH-5301.
